BPA TEAM REGISTRATION

Welcome to the BPA Online Registration for the 2005 season. We are automating our registration procedures on a nationwide basis to allow for a more efficient approach. Please follow these instructions carefully prior to registering online, and make particular note of the items in red:

1. When you go to the link provided at the bottom of these instructions, you’ll be taken to the front page of the online process. If you’re registering your team for the first time, click on “Sanctions/Registrations”. You’ll only need to go there once to register your team. After that, you’ll only enter through “Team Login”.

2. Read the information at the top of the page, then scroll down to begin entering your personal information. Here are some important items to follow as you complete this information:

· Under “Team Name”, try to use standard case, neither all upper nor all lower (eg, type as Hometown Heroes). Also, keep in mind that there can only be one name per team. So if you’re part of an organization that has teams with the same name in several age brackets, distinguish your team as Hometown Heroes 12U. Further, if you have more than one team in an age bracket, then enter the name as Hometown Heroes 16U Green.

· The box under the email address should be left unchecked and enter whatever email address you want the system messages sent to.

· Under “Select your state”, select either Maryland – Baseball State Director or Delaware – Baseball State Director, depending on which state you’re registering under. Ignore all the other titles. If you choose one of the others it will go to the wrong person and that will end up delaying your registration.

· Select Youth. Division – Select Boys.

· Under “Class”, select Unknown.

· Under the “Optional Comment”, please include at least a second email for your team (could be the manager’s work email or the assistant coach’s). This is very important. Virtually all of our communication is done via email now and to only limit yourself to one address is taking a chance that you won’t receive important messages on time. Many times managers only list their work email and then take a week off work and never get the messages we send. Also, please include an alternate contact’s name, phone number and email address (you do not need to enter their street address). This can be an assistant coach, business manager, sponsor, etc. Again, when only one team contact is listed and that person becomes unavailable, it becomes difficult to relay important information to the team. You can also use this section for any additional comments you would like to make.

Once you submit your registration, the next screen will supply you with all the payment information and ask you to create your team password. After completing the team registration, promptly remit the $20 sanction fee and as soon as it is received your team registration will be approved and you’ll receive your sanction number via email instantaneously. PLEASE: When you send in the $20 please let us know the exact team to which the fee applies, including the team name, age bracket and color (if applicable). Either include a note with the check or write the information in the memo portion.
